Überarbeitete Monographie-Entwürfe über Wasser zur Verdünnung konzentrierter Hämodialyse-Lösungen sowie der Allgemeinen Monographie 5.1.4 Mikrobielle Qualität pharmazeutischer Zubereitungen (neue Kategorie 2 B. Preparations for oromucosal and gingival use) sind ebenfalls abgedruckt.

Eine aktuelle Auflistung (Stand: November 2000, 21 Seiten) der Substanzen, die über ein Zertifikat nach dem Zertifikatsystem des Europäischen Arzneibuchs verfügen, ist enthalten. Hierin sind auch Zertifikate für 23 Stoffe aufgeführt, die auf ihr TSE/BSE Risiko geprüft wurden. Eine inzwischen erschienene aktuellere Liste (Stand: 24. 1. 2001) enthält 40 Zertifikate:

• 23 für Gelatine
• 14 für Kälberseren
• 2 für Aprotinin und
• 1 für Transferrin.

Ein Zertifikat für sauer hergestellte Knochengelatine aus Frankreich wurde zurückgezogen.

Als schnelle Revision sind weiterhin die Monographien (in Klammer die Termine des Inkrafttretens) abgedruckt:

• Pethidine Hydrochloride (Pethidini hydrochloridum) (1. Januar 2001)
• Parenteral Preparations (Parenteralia) (1. Januar 2001)
• Piroxicam (Piroxicamum) (1. Januar 2001)
• Daunorubicin Hydrochloride (Daunorubicini hydrochloridum) (1. April 2001) und
• 5.2.8 Minimising the Risk of Transmitting Animal Spongiform Encephalopathy Agents via Medicinal Products (1. Januar 2001) (siehe hierzu auch die 33. und 34. Bekanntmachung des BMG im Bundesanzeiger Nr. 244 vom 29. 12. 2000, abgedruckt in Pharm. Ind. 63, (2001)).

Von Bedeutung für die mikrobiellen Untersuchungsmethoden sind noch die im Rahmen der internationalen Harmonisierung zur Diskussion gestellten Monographien
