Europäisches Arzneibuch: Neue Ausgabe von Pharmeuropa

(ga). Die neue, 156 Seiten starke Ausgabe von "Pharmeuropa"", dem Informationsmedium der Europäischen Arzneibuch-Kommission, enthält 56 europäische Monographie-Entwürfe, die bis zum 30.Juni 1998 zur Diskussion gestellt werden. Im Bereich der Drogenmonographien sind insgesamt 13 neue, überarbeitete und aus nationalen Arzneibüchern übernommene Monographien -Acacia (Acaciae gummi), -Alchemilla (Alchemillae herba), -Bitter orange flower (Citri aurantii flos), -Curcuma (Curcumae xanthorrhizae rhizoma), -Determination of tannins in herbal drugs, -Dog rose (Rosa canina), -Eleutherococcus (Eleutherococci radix), -Feverfew (Tanaceti parthenii herba), -Hamamelis leaf (Hamamelidis folium), -Juniper (Juniperi fructus), -Rhatany root (Ratanhiae radix), -Tormentil (Tormentillae rhizoma) und -Tragacanth (Tragacantha) zur Diskussion gestellt. Es folgt eine aktuelle Auflistung (Stand: Februar 1998) der Substanzen, die über ein Zertifikat nach dem Zertifikatsystem des Europäischen Arzneibuchs verfügen. Ein Verbesserungsvorschlag für diese aktualisierte Auflistung wäre die Angabe eines Ausgabedatums der Liste, da man sonst anhand der Daten in der Spalte "Date of Revision" mühsam das neueste Datum heraussuchen muß, um den aktuellen Stand der Liste zu erfahren. Neu ist die Möglichkeit, die von der Europäischen Arzneibuch-Kommission in ihrer Sitzung im November 1997 verabschiedeten Monographien in einer Vorpublikationsbroschüre zum Preis von 250,- FF zu beziehen. Die Liste der Monographien ist in dieser Ausgabe von Pharmeuropa" veröffentlicht. Außerdem wird eine überarbeitete "List of Standard Terms" zum Preis von 250,- FF angeboten. Im Rahmen der internationalen Harmonisierung werden zur Information die Inhaltsverzeichnisse des Japanese Pharmacopoeial Forum Vol.7, No.1/January 1998 und das Pharmacopoeial Forum (USP) Vol.24, No. 1/Jan.-Feb. 1998 publiziert. Zudem wird der harmonisierte Monographie-Entwurf über die Grenzprüfungen "Asche/Sulfatasche" zur Diskussion gestellt. Am Ende der Broschüre finden sich noch drei wissenschaftliche Mitteilungen: -Content limits in the European Pharmacopoeia (Part2), -Validation of the value for specific absorbance in monographs of the European Pharmacopoeia, -a collaborative study of a liquid chromatographic method for the assay of content of Procaine and benzylpenicillin in procaine benzylpenicillin and the test for related substances.
